About

 Youth Education in Sciences or YES is a digital education initiative focused on providing zero-cost, low-equipment, experiment-based resources and programs for children aged 6-10 in India. Our effort is to curate an original science program in a variety of STEM subjects to support the early education of children from underserved backgrounds and to simultaneously increase their access to scientific learning and curiosity while driving the spirit of innovation in the country. 

At the heart of the project is the YES Academy which hosts innovative, age-appropriate, and subject-specific courses drawn from the discipline of science. For this, we have procured the support of area-specific tutors, and collaborated with them to design our interactive zero-equipment curriculum. The YES Academy is comprised of:

1. YES Grow (ages 6-10): 

• Biology: Evolutionary Sciences

• Physics: Electricity and Magnetism

• Chemistry: Environmental Processes

2. YES Prep (ages 10-14):

• Astronomy: Introduction to Star Formation

• Biology: Genetics and Bioinformatics

• Physics: Mechanics and Kinematics 

3. YES Apex (ages 14-18):

• Biology: Epidemiology and Health

• Physics: Nanomaterial Synthesis and Applications

• Computer Science: Quantum Computing in Action
